Ireland’s most successful homegrown reality TV series, IFTA nominated, Feirm Factor, has recently undergone a rebrand and a change of format as it enters it’s 5th season on TG4.
The Brief:
Graphic Index have been there from day one, developing the initial brand design for the reality farming series created by Good Company Productions. Over the previous 4 series we have monitored the evolution of the show and adapted to the branding challenges. Good Company Productions felt that to stay ahead of the curve in this fast moving business a change of format and a review of the design was necessary. This decision was influenced by international trends and opportunities. The main change was a shift to a team (family) format to the contest as opposed to the original individual contestant.
What We Did:
We sat down with the producers and brainstormed the big idea to get a clear picture of the focus of the project and the stylistic and technical opportunities and parameters. We agreed that there was significant value and recognition in the existing brand and it was important not to sacrifice this. We did, however, need to reflect the significant format change in the visual identity.
Through much consultation and research we developed a design style and brand identity that successfully brought the brand to a new level.
We established design guidelines for the roll out of the brand across all communication material, on screen graphics and branding for props, vehicles and garments.
